________, we met X years ago and we have been close by each other’s side ever since. Today is our celebration of our love for each other and I feel so proud and happy to be able to commit the rest of my life to you. Of course as you and I always do we have done things a bit backwards. In some old book somewhere it says “Get married, then have kids.”

You have patiently helped me become a father to (Name) and for me personally today is also about my love and commitment to (Name) and our little family. I am his father and he is my son.
