marriage is a "religious" act. An act where we make a promise not onlly to our spouse to be, but also to God that we will forever be faithful. So its only appropiate to include God in our vows.

Do you think that marriage was a man made idea? Of course God is involved. Marriage was created by God. Read the following scriptures: Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
Genesis 2:21-24 speaks of God's original plan for marriage and serves as the basis for the biblical definition of marriage:

a little problem

i dont like the "From this day forth" part (arent you always supposed to love him/her?) but otherwise its a great base for a wedding vow (i would personalize it a little with something that means something between you and her/him)

problems with my home insurance policy

my fiance and i have been together for 2 1/2 years and have gone through alot as a couple. even when i'm irritated or mad at him, or completly stressed out, it is still soooo easy to cheer him up or be there for him. nowhere did i read in the vows that you ALWAYS have to do that but that is what i intend to do anyway.
